And…Number 9โs Big Birth Story, and Getting Your Babies to Sleep
It was an easy podcast to do, it was a difficult podcast to do (with a poor nod to A Tale of Two Cities…). Easy in the sense that spending time with my husband behind a microphone is super fun. Difficult in the sense of sharing new directions for A Happy Home Media, sharing another birth story, and sharing some advice. Most of those make me uncomfortable, but objectively I have to say that discomfort is not necessarily a bad thing. Growing pains, a desire to hide my light under a bushel or even qualify its brightness compared to others (it’s just a little candle…not some big, beautiful and colorful firework or anything…), not wanting to come across like I have all of the answers. To be clear, I don’t even know what all of the questions are or need to be!
So I’m sharing this podcast knowing that although there are times I’d rather not be too public, I desire to help my fellow mommies along to the best of my abilities, knowing that in turn, they are a great encouragement to me. That’s part of being there for one another, isn’t it? Sisters in Christ, sometimes racing, sometimes plodding, along on this great winding pilgrimage road, all different, but all with our eyes on Jesus. May we have joy in the journey, even the ones to come.

This episode should have come with a “bring your tissues” warning. I listened on my commute to work and it had me crying. Your words of encouragement, the relationship you share with your husband and children, and our Father are such an inspiration for me. As a mother of 1 teenage boy and a wife to an unbeliever, I require surrounding myself in God’s love and people. THANK YOU! I can’t wait to be a patreon supporter of your work.
