Here in the Pacific Northwest, however, we’ve been dealing with rain. And more rain. And more rain. And if the rain stopped within the last six weeks at all, it was overcast. The only reason I knew it was daylight was because the sky was a lighter shade of gray. But two days ago the sun came out! And I think every person here is soaking it in! Never mind the mosquitos, never mind the light sunburns, we are OUTSIDE.
This is why we put up with rainy dark winters: warm sunny summers with sea salty air to breath and gardens to enjoy. It’s also why the tourist season is so busy this time of year. I’m just so thankful to the Lord for allowing the sunshine to come forth! Happy summer!
