We don’t just cook in our kitchen. We play, homeschool, read, and CRAFT! This is what we did yesterday with our “adopted” grandma who is just so good at coming up with fun things to do. I think every mom needs a woman that she can call and say, “Hey…..can you come do something fun with the kids? I’ll do lunch!”
So we played with candle wax and fire (first thing every mom wants to play with! Fire!).
First we found containers and covered them with foil. And then we dripped wax into the middle so that a candle would “glue” onto it and not go floating away.
Then we melted a large can of leftover wax. You could use a bunch of candle ends, digging out the wicks (with tongs, of course, not fingers).
Take the quick plunge! Don’t worry if you get a smidge of hot wax on your hand; it cools immediately in the cold water. Besides, even though all my kids did this, I was the only one that happened to.

I LOVE this idea, Keri Mae. I can't wait to do it with my kiddos. We only have about 3 months we can burn candles here in AZ, so I'll have to do it quick.thanks for sharing.DeDe
