Well, so much for my pretty scene at the pond! Tom and I heard the *crack crack….craaaaack…..* and then, enormous branches came crashing down, smashing the little maple I was so looking forward to watching blaze with autumnal colors. Other branches around the property have come down, too. Free firewood?
It’s starting to feel more like home and less like camping, even as I figure out ways to expand my countertop space to do some canning. Some folks feel sorry for us. I guess my expectations of what a real home is made of aren’t as high. I put higher value into things like honoring the Lord, loving one another, and gratitude for faucets that give clean, hot water. You could practice honor, love, and gratitude in a yurt (and people do!). Proverbs 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
I continue to enjoy the interesting landscaping, and take so much pleasure in it! It helps offset the disappointment of not having a food garden this year. Here are the flowers blooming at the tips of the branches of another tree. A whole tree with tropical looking flowers!
We continue to work on the house, especially the bedrooms upstairs. It’s goes slowly; we still have to upkeep our old home on the market, and we can only work as time and funds are available (just like anyone else!). How do you like our outdoor shop? Pleasant summer sunshine and breeze…hard to beat!
The good news in everything, always, is that the Lord has not forgotten nor forsaken us 🙂 Give an ear to the update and if He so leads, we continue to appreciate and are humbled by your prayers on our behalf.

Love. Love. LOVE hearing your voices and your reflections of your journey. Sharing what God is doing and how He is providing and meeting you and affirming your decisions is very inspiring. Your husband’s reminder that we are His joy is so precious. I needed to be reminded of that as I am sure many did. It is easy to get caught up in lies about ourselves. Thank you so much for taking time to podcast. It is such a blessing!

We’ve been thinking of you here in our part of the world. I’ve been thinking a lot about what the LORD has in place for us, about why He is leading us where He wants us – just like your family. I’m excited for,the future, even when I consider the path the country is on. God is still my Abba so all is well in my soul.
By the way, my oldest received her letter from your oldest yesterday. I saw she addressed it as Lady A…..I was so tickled by that and so was A.
Much love to you all.

Keri,
I so enjoy your Podcasts! You and Tom have such a good time and you love each other so much. You two make me laugh.
Thank you for the reminder that I was the “joy” set before Jesus. I just need to believe it more. He is walking beside me each minute.
By Grace Alone,
Kim

Keri Mae,
I absolutely love your podcasts and blog! God is so glorified through your media platform and I was praying for your family yesterday. Praying still today. I’m not proud to say, but I was in quite the grouchy mood yesterday morning, but I played one of your podcasts (Scripture Memorization With Children) and I couldn’t help but smile and giggle and praise God. My whole day was turned around. Thank you for giving us glimpses in to your happy home!
