Baby, it’s cold outside! If it weren’t for the puppy (and dog….and ducks…and hens…and goats…), I think I’d just stay indoors all winter long. The biting cold on my face in the morning darkness has been, however, just what I’ve needed to start each day.
Christmas morning was blessedly quiet, but that afternoon was mournfully quiet, what with the death of my friend’s baby at 8 months pregnant. We’re so very thankful that she, herself, physically pulled through. Still, it’s hard.
So, it’s been quiet around the house. It’s been hard to find words, so I’ve just been working with my hands, thinking, praying. I did finish one project:
I’m about halfway finished blanket-stitching an applique in the middle of a quilt, too.
