I have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas. First of all, to Jesus. The thought I find myself meditating on a lot during this season is that Easter is the Whole Point of Christmas. Both may be holidays stolen or remade after pagan rituals, but they are opportunities in any case to contemplate the incarnation or the resurrection. And for both of those events, I am profoundly and eternally grateful.
I’m thankful for my husband of 23 years. Ups and downs and upside-downs, it is true that faithfully going through “the betters” AND “the worses” has deepened our love and appreciation for one another.
Of course, my children. Eight of them under our roof! I think, did I really carry a pregnancy with them all? And, the joys and challenges and trials and triumphs, what an adventure. I am so, so thankful to be home with them, every day.
Every joy I have, every hope I carry or bury, every sadness I shoulder or release, all of it is infused with the blessed assurance of belonging to Jesus. I pray that you, too, are walking in His truth.
Thank you for keeping me company through my pilgrimage through this blog. I pray we will continue to be a blessing to you all, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas (and Happy Easter!).
Blessings,

I likewise have been thinking a lot about the resurrection this season. I agree that there is so much truth in His Word to meditate on. Helps me to keep everything else in perspective…. Hope y’all had a very merry Christmas! 😀
