We had (and are still having!) a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas. We spent much time decorating our home, including a crazy big 10 foot tree that wasn’t big enough for my husband so he added more blocks underneath to get it higher. And yes, that’s me with my ever growing middle trying to balance while I lit the tree up with about 1400 lights. The sleigh bells are the real deal, passed down to us from my husband’s grandmother.
We did plenty of crafts and card making, which was just a lovely quiet time to spend together.
Of course, there was so shortage of goodies to bake, prepare and eat! And potlucks, and meals with friends, too.
The gift-giving is always such fun, even more than gift-receiving, I think. On that end, my favorite thing was receiving this collection of tea cups and saucers from a dear man whose wife passed away; she had wanted the girls of our home to have them.
I spent some down time working in my craft room and feeling very spoiled to have the opportunity to do so. I tried to collect some memories of our season together, and put it into a single drawing.
I hope you also had a blessed time celebrating the Savior!
Merry Christmas (there are 12 days of that, right?),
