Psalms 147:16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
Well, I call it “little” because compared to other parts of the country, our two days of snowfall are about as serious as a drizzle in Arizona. Not that we don’t love the interruption in normalcy; but folks here shut down businesses if we get a few inches of snow because either no one is taking to the roads, or if they are, they aren’t…well…how shall we say….experienced snow drivers. So, schoolwork took a dive and Daddy got to stay home. It’s not so bad. Here are some pics to enjoy.
If you were coming to visit yesterday, this is what our long dirt road looked like. Today it was completely covered in white, with the only tracks from bunnies and deer marring the surface until folks like me took to walking it.
The first is a picture of our little Ruby in the backyard. It gives you a good idea how tall the trees are around our home, and the photo is only about halfway the tallest of them. I love how gorgeous they are with every branch hand painted by God Himself. See how small our swing set is in the next photo, compared?
Meanwhile, I’m taking the opportunity to sneak into my craft room to do little projects, answer letters, and to catch up on reading and drawing too. They are short little visits as I’m needing to put my legs up more often as the pregnancy progresses. I started to plan out my garden and then decided I would just plant what I had seeds for, other than buying maybe half a dozen flower seeds. We can’t (usually) eat flowers, but they do feed the soul. Right now I am thankful everything is covered in white and winter cold.
I hope you’re finding time to enjoy whatever’s going on in your outside world, too.
Blessings,
